Right Handed 8-hole Scratchplate to fit most USA, Mexican Telecasters and Squier model Telecasters
In 1969, Fender changed the design of their scratchplates. Moving away from 5 fixing screw holes to 8. They'd come to realise that the original 5 holes weren't enough to keep the plate from lifting away from the body in certain areas.
Mounting holes for the neck pickup were also introduced, thus making pickup height adjustment much easier (previously the scratchplate would need to be removed to do this)
We've modelled our 8-hole scratchplates on this more modern design but with a wider variety of colours.
Specification
3-ply scratchplate: 2.4mm thick

I couldn't decide, so I bought both! A pair of quality scratchplates. They fit my Mexican Fender Player Tele perfectly, too.
A perfect colour match for my MIM Telecaster which had a small amount of damage to the original part around 2 of the screw holes from new (likely from installation at factory using power tool). A realistic price too - the official Fender identical part was priced at over £44!
Super quick turnaround by North West Guitars following ordering online and fitted to my Tele within minutes of arrival.
Perfect part and great service. Thank you.
