Right Handed 8-hole Scratchplate to fit most USA, Mexican Telecasters and Squier model Telecasters
In 1969, Fender changed the design of their scratchplates. Moving away from 5 fixing screw holes to 8. They'd come to realise that the original 5 holes weren't enough to keep the plate from lifting away from the body in certain areas.
Mounting holes for the neck pickup were also introduced, thus making pickup height adjustment much easier (previously the scratchplate would need to be removed to do this)
We've modelled our 8-hole scratchplates on this more modern design but with a wider variety of colours.
Specification

First off... Maybe I was unlucky or maybe I ordered the wrong thing(?). I have a highway 1 telecaster from around 2009/10. It has 8 holes and looks as though this should fit. But it didn't. I had to break out the Dremel and get grinding. Sadly the edges are also very poorly chamfered and has sharp edges. But it looks better than it did without a scratch plate so that's good...
Beautiful pattern on a quality scratchplate. It fit my Mexican Fender Player Tele perfectly!
