Post Brexit Shipping and prices

VAT and Import Duty Changes for EU Customers.

On January 1st 2021 the UK left the European Union – and this effects how Northwest Guitars now interacts with our European customers.

We no longer charge VAT to any customers ordering from within the EU and as such, any VAT/VIES exceptions are no longer valid.
VAT will however still be paid once the goods arrive into the country of receipt – this will be raised and invoiced between the courier and the customs office in your country. They will also, most likely, add an additional handling fee.

Please note – Northwest Guitars is not responsible for paying these taxes or fees, and it is solely the customer’s responsibility to be aware of these extra costs, and paying them. Failure to do so will result in the shipment not being delivered.
Any orders undelivered because of unpaid fees and/or tax, will incur a return fee of £45.

It is advised that you research your local delivery services (we use Fedex for all expedited carriage, and Royal mail for the standard service) to ensure that there are no unforeseen additional costs upon delivery.

When shopping from outside the UK, the prices displayed do include UK VAT, but this will be removed at checkout.
