400ml Nitrocellulose paint/lacquer

We stock a wide range of high quality nitrocellulose lacquers and paints suitable for use on any guitar project.
We’ve produced a range of colours found on popular guitar models and used our own Strat and Tele bodies for reference.

This is the same type of lacquer as used on vintage Fender and Gibson guitars which, over time, will produce an aged, tarnished look to your instrument. These are true lacquers, as used by top guitar makers since the 1950s. They dry very quickly and produce a hard glassy finish, unlike other “pre-cat” lacquers

Specification

Solid colour lacquer with a glossy finish
400ml aerosol with eliptical nozzle
Reliable and easy to use - Aerosol produces a consistent fine spray
Each can is enough for 6-8 coats of a Telecaster sized body (depending on coat thickness)

These paints and lacquers are very easy to apply and generally require no sanding in-between coats.

Tip: We recommend adding 4-5 coats of clear gloss over the top of all colours for protection and a deeper glossy shine.

Use only in a well ventilated area. Suitable breathing apparatus should be worn

*Colour may vary slightly depending on number of coats applied, wood type and preparation method.

Mega impressed

So I'm building my own guitar and I managed to locate a original 1967 body that needed restoration.. never done anything like this before followed the steps on the website and boom mega results ☺️ looks amazing the product was super easy even for a complete beginner like me .. I think the key is little coats and slowly build up the colour mega results if you follow the steps 👍

True Daphne colour.

Before using I immersed it in luke warm water, gave it a good long shake and applied to my guitar body. A light must first then slightly heavier applications.
Following these simple rules and the paint looked fantastic , it dried quickly and was ready quickly.
Will definitely buy again on future projects.

Great quality and awesome colour

The pastel tone of this lacquer is a classy throwback to the early 60 fender nitro finishes. Truly brought my freshly made bass to life, with the gloss lacquer providing a gorgeous glossy sheen to perfectly complement and bring out the beauty of this unique colour. The lacquer sprayed flawlessly and I was able to get 8 decent coats on the coloured sunburst with one can.

superb paint.

Bought this to refinish a new Arctic white Squire Esquire. Built up the coats over a number of days then left for a week. Then flattened with 1200 paper and then 2500 paper. Then polished with cutting compound and finally resin polish. The finish is like glass I couldn't be more pleased, highly recommended.
